1. BLACK HISTORY MONTH: Today marks
the beginning, so here’s today first Black History fact:
Ethel Payne was known as the FIRST LADY OF THE BLACK PRESS. She
worked for the Chicago African-American paper for 27 years. When
EBS hired her in 1972, she became the first African-American woman
to work for a national radio and TV organization. She worked as
a commentator for CBS for 10 years. Way to go Mrs. Payne!
2. VALENTINE’S DANCE PERMISSIONS
are now available in the main office and during lunches. (Mr.

4. BOYS’ BASEBALL: Please
change out for practice and meet in Mr. Arce’s classroom
right after school.
